The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu reported that Aydın Memecik Olive Oil has received a geographical indication registration the European Union (EU).

Making a statement on his social media account, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Aydın Memecik Olive Oil became our 20^th product to receive a geographical indication registration the EU. Good luck to our country. I congratulate Aydın Commodity Exchange Chairman Fevzi Çondur, Aydın Commodity Exchange Board of Directors, council members and all our colleagues. Our work on 45 geographical indications and 5 traditional product names continues in the European Union process.”
