The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited Bursa Commodity Exchange and met with the members of the assembly.
Congratulating Bursa
Commodity Exchange Chairman Özer Matlı, Council President Mehmet Aydın and
Council Members for their work, TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized that
Bursa Commodity Exchange is an important actor in Türkiye's trade, agriculture
and animal husbandry.
Stating that the work
carried out under the leadership of Bursa CE has made great contributions to
the Turkish economy, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Bursa has had a commodity exchange
since 1924, but with the work carried out after Özer Matlı became the president
in the elections in 2013, it was said that there really was a commodity
exchange in Bursa. At this point, I would like to congratulate all members of
the board of directors and council members, especially Özer Matlı.”
Drawing attention to
Bursa's industrial and agricultural potential, Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they
support the Exchange's work in this field.
TOBB President
Hisarcıklıoğlu also expressed his appreciation for the importance Bursa
Commodity Exchange attaches to vocational education and its efforts to protect
agricultural vocational high schools.
Emphasizing that such
efforts are critical for Türkiye's future, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “I would like
to congratulate the Bursa Commodity Exchange for its exemplary work as the
patron of Hamidiye Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, Türkiye's
first agricultural vocational high school, within the scope of the Vocational
Education Cooperation Protocol signed between the Ministry of National
Education, TOBB and TOBB ETÜ. I would like to commemorate with respect and
gratitude the founders and contributors of the Exchange, which will celebrate
its 100th anniversary this year.”
Özer Matlı, Chairman of
the Board of Directors of Bursa Commodity Exchange, stated that they strive to
realize projects in accordance with the demands and needs of the members
without compromising the member-oriented service understanding and emphasized
that they offer services at international standards as a 5-star accredited
Exchange.
Emphasizing that they
increased the registration transaction volume, which was 980 million liras in
2013 when they took office, to over 32 billion liras by 2023, President Özer
Matlı said, “In 2024, when we will celebrate the 100th anniversary
of our foundation, we prioritize projects that will add strength to our members
and our city, and we continue all our work in this direction.”
