The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the opening ceremony of Anamur Ferry and Seaplane Pier.

In his speech at the ceremony attended by Minister of Transportation Abdülkadir Uraloğlu, TRNC Deputy Prime Minister Fikri Ataoğlu, Mersin Governor Ali Hamza Pehlivan, Yücelen Foundation President Ali Yücelen, former Treasury and Finance Minister Lütfi Elvan and Anamur TSO President Mehmet Tuna, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Thanks to the public and private sectors working together, our Anamur Ferry and Seaplane Pier is becoming operational. Many distinguished institutions have contributed here.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu thanked the Yücelen Foundation, founded by his family in memory of the late Rüştü Kazım Yücelen, for bringing this facility to Anamur and said: “Now our District Governorship, Chamber and Foundation will realize the operation of this place together. Thus, they will emphasize the common mind and the culture of acting together in Anamur. I also congratulate them for this contemporary vision. The ferry services launched from here to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus will bring us even closer. It will strengthen our economic networks. It will also accelerate local development. Thus, it will contribute to the enrichment of Anamur. This is how visionary managers should be, both in the public and private sectors. They should sign such valuable works that will increase the brand value of their city.”
