The World Bank cited Türkiye’s first and only joint education model implemented at TOBB University of Economics and Technology as an example for countries that want to get out of the middle income trap.

Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), said: “The World Bank cited Türkiye's first and only joint education model implemented at TOBB University of Economics and Technology as an example for countries that want to get out of the middle income trap. We are proud that TOBB ETU is cited as an example of innovation and contribution to economic development in the World Bank's 2024 World Development Report. 21 years ago, I sincerely congratulate all our academicians, students and employees who have made our university an example of global success.”
