The President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, congratulated those who contributed to Hüyük Strawberry receiving a geographical indication registration from the European Union.
Hisarcıklıoğlu said:
“Hüyük Strawberry became our 25th product to receive a geographical
indication registration from the European Union. May it be beneficial for Konya
and our country. I congratulate everyone who contributed. We have a product
diversity that very few geographies in the world are blessed with. As TOBB and
the Chamber-Exchange community, we are making intense efforts for local and
geographically marked products. Our work on 62 geographical indications and 6
traditional product names, which are in the process of the European Union,
continues.”
