The President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu congratulated those who contributed to the Bursa Black Fig / Bursa Black product upon receiving the geographical indication registration from the European Union.

Hisarcıklıoğlu made the following sentences in his statement on his social media account on the subject: “Bursa Black Fig/Bursa Black was our 26^th product to receive a geographical indication registration from the European Union. May it benefit Bursa and our country. I congratulate everyone who contributed. We have a product diversity that very few geographies in the world are blessed with. As TOBB and the Chamber-Exchange community, we are making great efforts for local and geographically marked products. We are working on 61 geographical indications and 6 traditional product names for which the European Union process is ongoing.”
