The President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, visited the Van Gourmet and Gastronomy Fair held at the Van Expo Fairground, visited the stands and received information from the authorities.
In his speech here,
Hisarcıklıoğlu shared his views on the fair and fair organization. TOBB
President Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Van will take its rightful place in gastronomy.
We visited Van Gourmet and Gastronomy Fair organized under the leadership of
Van Chamber of Commerce and Industry. We visited the stands and got
information. Van is moving in the right direction. Cities also have souls. The
main thing is to keep that spirit alive! I congratulate Necdet Takva, the
President of Van Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and his team for protecting
the spirit of the city.”
- “We want Van's local products to be known”
TOBB President M. Rifat
Hisarcıklıoğlu said: “I sincerely congratulate Van Chamber of Commerce and
Industry for bringing this beautiful fair to life in Van, the center of
agriculture, tourism and trade. This fair shows both the production power and
culture of Van. Van, which is making strides especially in the field of
tourism, is also making its name a brand in the field of gastronomy with its
famous breakfast. You already have a great wealth of local products. So far, 18
products have received geographical indication in Van. Our Van Chamber of
Commerce and Industry and Van Commodity Exchange have played a major role in
this. Thus, you have become one of the leading cities in Türkiye. This number
will hopefully increase even more.
We want Van, which
combines its rich culture with its fertile soil, to be recognized and known
first by Türkiye and then by the whole world for its local products, each of
which has a different flavor. Our duty is to introduce this first to our
country and then to the whole world. To make Van stand out as a center of
attraction. Thus, to pave the way for more entrepreneurs to emerge from Van. Because
wealth comes with trade and trade is possible through entrepreneurship. Look
around the world, the richest countries have achieved this by creating more
entrepreneurs. Because the source of wealth is no longer oil, natural gas or
precious metals coming out of the ground. It is your human quality above the
ground, your human capital.”
