The President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the Van Chamber of Commerce and Industry Award Ceremony for Contributors to Employment.

In his speech here, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “At the Van Chamber of Commerce and Industry Stars of Employment Award Ceremony, we presented the awards that our companies richly deserve. I wholeheartedly congratulate our award-winning entrepreneurs. Every company that produces, invests, exports and provides employment deserves a star and an award.”

Speaking at the ceremony held at the Van Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Hisarcıklıoğlu said that they are making efforts to make the city's name known and to increase its wealth by increasing its brand value.

Stating that they are carrying out activities that will stimulate Van's tourism potential and revitalize trade, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We previously broke a world record with Van breakfast for 52,000 people. We were with you as TOBB at that time. Now we are promoting Van's famous food and beverage culture throughout the country with the second fair. Fairs mobilize tourism potential and revitalize trade. With Van Shopping Fest, we are trying to turn this place into a shopping center. I follow these activities from Ankara.”

Stating that the cultural values of the city were taken under protection with geographical indication registrations, Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that local products were protected and 18 products received geographical indications.

Stating that Van CCI has become a chamber that produces 5-star service, Hisarcıklıoğlu said:

“We are proud that important projects such as Van Textile City, Agriculture Based Organized Livestock Zone and call centers have been implemented with the initiatives of our chamber. Our chamber is an accredited chamber. An accredited chamber is like a star rating system in hotels. In our case, the highest is 5 stars. I do not give these stars, if it were up to me, I would give 5 stars to all my chambers. But these stars are given by the International Accreditation Board. Every 2 years, they audit the service quality of our chambers. They audited our Van Chamber of Commerce and its quality is 5 stars. In other words, it has documented that it offers you 5-star service.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that works were brought to Van with TOBB facilities and said:

“We built a science high school and a primary school within the scope of our TOBB facilities. We will open a school and a gymnasium in Erciş district. Our serhat city is about to increase its foreign trade. We have renovated Kapıköy Customs Gate. What is coming to Van is foreign currency. All operators benefit from this situation. We tried to stand by our city in good times and bad.”

After the speeches, plaques were given to the operators who created employment.
