The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the “Balıkesir Economy Awards” ceremony organized by Balıkesir Chamber of Commerce, Balıkesir Chamber of Industry and Balıkesir Commodity Exchange to present awards to companies that contributed to the economic development of the city.

Congratulating the business people who received awards, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Every company that produces, invests, exports and provides employment deserves a star and an award. We also opened the Balıkesir Chamber of Commerce Compliance and Mediation Center, which was launched to provide services to the Balıkesir business world in business, commercial, consumer and lease disputes. May it be beneficial to the Balıkesir business world.”

Stating that the Chambers and Commodity Exchanges in Balıkesir are accredited chambers and commodity exchanges, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “In other words, they have documented that they offer you 5-star service. They are increasing their service capacity and quality every passing day. They interpret the problems of our members. They make every effort to solve their problems. I also work together with my presidents in Ankara. May Allah bless our presidents Rahmi Kula, Nazmi Yarış and Mehmet Çetin who work to serve Balıkesir in the best way possible.”

Stating that Balıkesir has become a city of agriculture-livestock, industry and tourism, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “5 OIZs are in operation and 4 more are on the way. You already have a great geography, there is sea, forest, mine, wind. You are also among the most livable cities. With Osmangazi Bridge, Çanakkale Bridge and İstanbul-İzmir highway, the attractiveness of Balıkesir has increased even more. It is the enterprising people of Balıkesir who have mobilized this potential.”

Cemil Çiçek, Member of the High Advisory Board of the Presidency and former Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, also touched upon the issue of the Constitution in his speech here and said, “It should be known that in my opinion, the political credo of 85 million people is these first three articles.”

Emphasizing that Türkiye has made important achievements in the last century, Çiçek said:

“We have three important achievements in the last 100 years, without which there would have been no others. Without those achievements, we would not be able to hold this ceremony here today and you would not be able to receive these awards. One of them is the National Struggle, the second is the Republic and the third is democracy. May Allah bless those who brought us these three values. The first 3 articles of the Constitution are the legal text of these 3 achievements. We need to understand this well. We may have different political views, we may have different parties, we may speak differently on certain issues, but it should be known that in my opinion, the political credo of 85 million people is these first 3 articles. If we cannot change our credo, if we cannot protect the values in these 3 articles, Türkiye's future is not assured. Türkiye will have very big problems in the future. No one should make trouble for no reason, let's look to the future. These were not won easily.”
