The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) President and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of TOBB ETÜ M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu met with students at the “Entrepreneurship and Leadership,” class at the opening of the 2024-2025 academic year at TOBB ETÜ.

He shared visionary information about school and working life with the students. Stating that the project he is most proud of in his working life is TOBB ETU, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Because investing in education is the greatest service to the country. There is a Far Eastern proverb that I like very much: If you think one year ahead, plant wheat; if you think 10 years ahead, plant trees; if you think 100 years ahead, educate your people. This is what we aimed for at TOBB ETU. Today, we are among the best young universities in the world. The achievements of our TOBB ETU students, graduates and professors make us proud. I am proud of TOBB ETU and our professors.”

Stating that entrepreneurship is the key to wealth, Hisarcıklıoğlu said: “To be an entrepreneur in the new world, you must first dream. Then you have to set goals. You have to set goals to show that a dream is not a dream. No wind will help a ship without a destination! Success is possible with perseverance and discipline. It is also essential to be innovative. Times are changing. The old is being replaced by the new. With artificial intelligence, more than half of today's professions will be obsolete in the next 50 years. Remember, what stands still will fall. Change is essential. Partnership culture is also very important. Give great importance to partnership and build a good team. Never give up. Try again. And have a constitution of your own when you set out.”
