The President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, celebrated the 29th October Republic Day with a message.
Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the Republic is our
most meaningful common value and said, "Millions of people who believe in
independence and freedom, who love their country, will hand over this sublime
trust we received from our ancestors to new generations by taking one step
further in the race for civilisation. As the Turkish business world, no one
should doubt that we will work non-stop on this path."
TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu
stated the following views in his message:
"We celebrate the 101st anniversary of the
proclamation of our Republic with pride and joy. 29 October 1923 is one of the
most important and proud days of our history. This date on which our Republic
was proclaimed, which we believe is the most appropriate form of government for
our nation, actually contains a great epic struggle for liberation, the heroism
of our youth and soldiers who fought against the occupation forces at the
fronts at the cost of their lives, the will and determination that this
nation will never give up its independence, and many other things.
The 101-year-old Republic of Türkiye, whose
roots go back thousands of years, is the most beautiful partnership of millions
of people who have shared destiny in these lands. As the Turkish business
world, our duty is to ensure economic growth through new investments,
production and trade. With the belief that we will do this, I wholeheartedly
share the joy of this beautiful and meaningful day of our country.
I remember with gratitude all our
ancestors, especially Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who gave us this homeland by
putting their lives on the line, to whom we owe our existence, those who fought
valiantly for the stability and future of our country, and all the sons and
daughters of the homeland who were veterans and martyrs. May their souls rest
in peace.
Happy 29th October Republic Day and 101st
anniversary of our Republic! Long Live the Republic Forever"
