The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the Gaziantep Chambers / Commodity Exchanges Joint Assembly Consultation Meeting held at Şehit Kamil Cultural Center.

TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu said in his speech at the meeting that Gaziantep continues to add great value to the country's economy with its industry and exports, and that Gaziantep provincial and district chambers and commodity exchanges play a leading role at this point.

On February 6, 2023, after the earthquake disaster that also affected Gaziantep, Hisarcıklıoğlu noted that Gaziantep has recovered rapidly in an admirable way as a whole and continues its mission to add strength to the country's economy, “Gaziantep, which gives morale to our country under all circumstances and is a role model, has a great human capital and trained manpower today. All of our chambers and exchanges in Gaziantep are making Gaziantep, the driving force of Türkiye’s industry, a star in the region. They are making Gaziantep a city that is followed and taken as an example, not a follower. Our chambers and exchanges are constantly increasing their service capacities, interpreting the problems of our members and making every effort to solve their problems. At this point, I wholeheartedly congratulate our Gaziantep provincial and district chambers and commodity exchanges, and I wish the continuation of their successful work on behalf of Gaziantep and our country. May our meeting be auspicious.”

At the meeting, the members expressed their problems and demands. They conveyed the problems experienced in private education, energy, construction, food, footwear sectors, export markets, KOSGEB supports and VAT refunds.
