The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the Kocaeli Chamber of Industry (KSO) New Service Building Opening and Sustainable Performance 2024 Award Ceremony.

Speaking at the ceremony, Hisarcıklıoğlu said that Kocaeli has become the driving force of Türkiye’s industry with its industrialists.

Stating that Kocaeli is among the top 3 in 788 products among the provinces with the highest production capacity in 4,000 products in the TOBB Industry Database, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Kocaeli is a complete production and export center with its OIZs, technoparks, free zones, universities and port. When Kocaeli wins, Türkiye also wins. More than 69 provinces’ total tax revenues, Kocaeli pays more taxes. Kocaeli is equal to 69 provinces. Kocaeli accounts for 13 percent of Türkiye’s industrial production. Kocaeli accounts for 10 percent of Türkiye’s total exports and is Türkiye’s leader in automotive exports.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they are pleased with the work carried out by KSO and added that they transfer the problems and troubles conveyed to them by the industrialists to the relevant authorities.

KSO President Ayhan Zeytinoğlu stated that industrialists will continue to work on sustainability, circular economy and green transformation with determination.

After the speeches, the opening ribbon of KSO’s new service building was cut.

Afterwards, the representatives of the 7 ranking companies were presented with “SME Scale Enterprise”, “Large Scale Enterprise” and “Excellence” awards.

This year’s grand prize was awarded to Optimum Process Design and Applications AŞ in the field of “SME Scale Enterprise”, KORDSA Teknik Tekstil AŞ in the field of “Large Scale Enterprise” and Systemair HSK Havalandırma Endüstri Sanayi ve Ticaret AŞ received the “Excellence” award.
