The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the closing session of the Zonguldak Economic Summit and the Zonguldak Economic Summit Award Ceremony organized by the Zonguldak Governorship, Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University and Zonguldak Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

In his speech here, Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that Zonguldak was the place where the first step was taken in the industrialization journey of the country.

Explaining that the mediation and arbitration center opened by ZTSO enables commercial disputes to be resolved faster and cheaper, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Mediation has become mandatory in employee-employer, commercial, consumer and even rental disputes. Seventy percent of the files that come here result in an agreement. Coming to an understanding  is very important in our culture. More important than being right and wrong in court is to come to an understanding.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “The Filyos Project, which we dream of, is coming to life again. Thanks to Filyos, new business and investment opportunities arise in the fields of industry, tourism and agriculture. Filyos Industrial Zone natural gas processing plant with Zonguldak, Türkiye's energy base is becoming. Zonguldak will become a center of attraction again and will be the gateway of the Western Black Sea to the world.”

Pointing out the importance of being one and together, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Therefore, I ask you, please do not marginalize each other. Let's not alienate anyone because of their ideas, beliefs and opinions. If we do not do this, we win. If we exclude, we lose. If we act together and in unity, we will be the ones who move forward and win together.”
