M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), together with representatives of workers, civil servants, employers and professional organizations, met with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the Presidential Complex on the occasion of May 1st, Labor and Solidarity Day.
In his speech here,
Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Groups with conflicting interests have become able to
gather around this table. The development and progress of our country has been
under your leadership. This is one of the biggest reasons for its development.
May Allah preserve this unity and solidarity. There is a very beautiful saying
in our culture: ‘There is grace and prosperity in unity and anguish in
dissent.’ Everyone has a different field of service. As long as everyone can
unite in that field of service for the country, we can all be comfortable. I
thank you again for accepting us.”
President Recep Tayyip
Erdoğan, in his address to the guests, stated that protecting the rights of the
workers who make their labor abundant with the sweat of their brow is their
main priority and that they have implemented comprehensive regulations in many
areas from union rights to employment policies.
Expressing his pleasure
to come together with the workers in the program, Erdoğan said, “I congratulate
you and all our workers on May 1st Labor and Solidarity Day.”
Expressing his
gratitude to all those who sweat, toil and sacrificially work for the growth of
the country, the strengthening of the nation and the progress of Türkiye,
President Erdoğan said, “I wish each of our workers and employers halal,
auspicious and abundant earnings from Allah, and I hope that their efforts will
not be wasted.”
