M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), attended the Future Power Entrepreneurs (g3) Summit held in Kocaeli, organized by TOBB, Habitat Association, and GEN Türkiye.
Hisarcıklıoğlu stated
that the G3 Forum is Türkiye’s most important and long-standing event in the
field of entrepreneurship, an ecosystem that inspires Türkiye’s entrepreneurial
spirit and motivates young people.
Hisarcıklıoğlu
mentioned that TOBB, together with the Women and Young Entrepreneurs Councils,
has created the country’s largest entrepreneurial network, reporting that today
more than 15,000 entrepreneurs are actively working across Türkiye.
Hisarcıklıoğlu
emphasized that in this era, the source of production and wealth is
intelligence, knowledge, courage, and innovative thinking, adding, “Thanks to
these, the global economy has quintupled in just a quarter of a century,
reaching the volume achieved by the industrial revolution in two centuries. It
has grown from $20 trillion to $100 trillion. Today, artificial intelligence is
initiating an even greater transformation with the speed and capacity it
provides.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu pointed
out that a company producing computer graphics cards reached a market value of
$5 trillion after shifting its focus to producing microchips, the engine of
artificial intelligence. “All companies growing rapidly around the world right
now have one thing in common: they are placing AI-powered digital solutions at
the center of their business processes. After all, consumers now want
personalized experiences.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu stated
that the most valuable real estate in the world is the smartphone screen,
adding, “The important thing is to be able to occupy space on this valuable
real estate. In the past, it was important to own a store or market on the
busiest street. Now, it is very important to have a place on the smartphone
screen. So, how can we secure a place on the smartphone screen, the world’s
most valuable real estate? Your company or product should either have a mobile
application or be included in a developed mobile application. Mobile
applications provide tremendous convenience to consumers. Whether your company
or product can be accessed through mobile applications is becoming much more
important in consumer preferences. Therefore, we must also transfer our
products and services to the digital environment with artificial intelligence.”
- “Our boards are working like project factories.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu, stating
that times have changed and the old has been replaced by the new, said, “With
artificial intelligence, more than half of today’s professions will become
obsolete in the next 50 years. With the green transformation, all product and
production standards around the world will change. Therefore, the path to
success lies in both working hard and being innovative, bringing new customs to
the old village.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu
explained that TOBB aims to promote the digitization of the private sector, the
development of innovative ventures, and their expansion into the global market.
Mentioning that they
support the digitalization of SMEs with the “Smart SME” platform they have
established, Hisarcıklıoğlu continued his speech as follows: “We opened our
country’s first ‘Artificial Intelligence Engineering’ department within TOBB
ETÜ and built the first quantum computer. By developing TOGG, our country’s
first and only domestically produced electric car, we made a name for ourselves
in the field of mobility worldwide. We organized events led by the TOBB Women
and Young Entrepreneurs Councils and supported every project that strengthened
the entrepreneurship ecosystem. We produce projects with our national and
international partners. Our councils work like project factories. They organize
projects and events that make a difference in all regions, from east to west,
north to south. They visit high schools and universities.”
