Turkish Pulp & Paper Industry Sector Council convened under the presidency of Erdal Sükan in Istanbul.
The meeting wherein various subjects were investigated including; Packaging Waste Control Legislation Draft, Hazardous Waste Control Legislation, Hazardous Waste Export for Environmental Protection Standardization Statement, Resource Usage Support Fund (KKDF) Applications and Internal Processing Regime. Council sub-committees; Commercial Finances Committee, Technical Committee, Raw Materials and Procurement Committee; presented their projects.
The Industry and Commerce Ministry representative also provided information regarding Forest Products, Paper and Furniture Technical Committee (ORKAMOTEK) followed by a presentation about the Common Education Program in affect at the TOBB University of Economy and Technology (TOBB ETÜ) by the Common Education Program Coordinator, Ziya Sülünbe. TMMOB Chamber of Forest Engineers provided information pertaining to “5531. Legislation on Forest Engineering, Forest Industry Engineering and Woodwork Industrial Engineering”.
