TOBB is undertaking the Development of Competitiveness in the Machinery Sector Project in order to bring the competitive power of the Turkish machinery sector in the global market.
The project,
undertaken in order to ascertain the needs of approximately 200 machinery
producers to be more competitive, is being supported as a part of the Turkish
Republic (TR) Economy Ministry’s Notice for the Development of International
Competitiveness (UR-GE). Chambers of industry as well as chambers of industry
and commerce in Adana, Ankara, Bursa, Denizli, Eskişehir, Gaziantep, Gebze,
İstanbul, İzmir, Kayseri, Kocaeli, Konya and Tekirdağ are taking advantage of
the project. TEPAV is providing counseling for the project.
The closing meeting
for the Denizli needs analysis stage of the project was held at the Denizli
Chamber of Industry on January 16th, 2013. Speakers during the
meeting were Denizli Chamber of Industry Secretary General and TEPAV Project
Manager Ozan Acar.

SMEs and Conglomeration Branch Chief Emrah Sazak and Expert Muhammed Emin
Torunoğlu provided information regarding the UR-GE Notice.
During the afternoon
part of the meeting the activities which will be undertaken in the next 3 years
in order to address various needs were planned. Slated among the activities in
the coming term is a marketing trip to target countries with the attendance of
company representatives.
