The 20th meeting of the Coordination Council for the Improvement of Investment Environment in Turkey (YOİKK) was held with Zeybekci presiding. Attending the meeting was TOBB Board Vice President Halim Mete.
During his speech, Economy Minister Nihat Zeybekci stated that the
recovery of foreign demand has contributed to the growth of exports, “In order
to continue export based growth, our companies must bring to fore their export
based growth strategies and expand their high added value products export
markets.”
Zeybekci emphasized the importance of private sector investments for
economic prosperity. He went on to stress that the Central Bank’s incentive
decisions are vital for maintaining ideal financial environment.
Stating that YOİKK Technical Committees have contributed greatly to the
advancement of the investment environment in the last term, Zeybekci reported
that 27 articles of 47 in the 2013-2014 Term Action Plan have been
satisfactorily concluded with the remaining 25 requiring long term engagement.
Zeybekci reported that the 8th Plan would cover 2014-2015, 62
articles have been identified for the technical committees to be working on.
Also attending the meeting were TİM President Mehmet Büyükekşi, MÜSİAD
Chairman Nail Olpak, YASED Chairwoman Serpil Timuray as well as officials from
TOBB and relevant institutions.
