President Hisarcıklıoğlu highlighted the importance of structural reforms and suggested that they should be carried out as soon as possible. Furthermore, he suggested the notion that those who pay their taxes and fees on time should be rewarded.
Çetin Osman Budak, President of the Antalya Chamber of Commerce and Industry, during his speech expressed the need to avoid tensions, referring to the recent developments in the world of politics. Afterwards, he explained in detail as to how the year 2010 was more fruitful than the previous years for the Antalya economy.
Following his speech, Antalya Governor Ahmer Altıparmak expressed his grattitude towards those who made contributions to the Antalya economy, noting that ATSO has been involved in important projects and his observation of a change of mentality in Turkey. Later on, Antalya Mayor Mustafa Akaydın gave a speech in which he expressed the difficulties local authorities were facing; while in the meantime, pointing out that there are indications of the economy reaching a level of $15,000 per capita and suggested that it’s possible to find out that this is not reflected on society when enquiring about it to “a citizen on the street”.
