Under the leadership of Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey and in cooperation with the Habitat Association, Coca-Cola Turkey and Istanbul Technical University, “My Sister” project was launched in İstanbul.
TOBB Vice Chairman Halim Mete said that they would provide training to
9,000 women in 30 in technology fields with the project “My Sister” in his speech
at the promotion meeting.
Stating that they aim to spread the project to all of Turkey's provinces
as well as ensuring sustainability, Mete said, “Competencies required by the
new era are more easily found in women than men. Now is the time for women. I
see entrepreneurship, internet and technology as a very valuable opportunity
for women. We sincerely believe women could become pioneers in the construction
of Turkey's future. Women will carry our country to more prosperous tomorrows. This
is as far as we could get with only men. A more powerful and rich Turkey is only
possible with women attaining the place they deserve. Let's keep it in there is
no gender for intellect, success or economy.”

Chairman of the Board of Coca-Cola Muhtar Kent also stated that the 21st
century is the century of women.
Stating that creating a global environment for women's success and
providing equal opportunities is one of their top priorities, Kent said, “The
world is looking for ways to revive its economy and the solution is in front of
us. Women. I believe that investing in women has striking effects. Empowered
women bring companies profits, revitalization to the economy and benefits to
society.”
