The Meeting of the Presidential Council of the Union of European Chambers of Commerce and Industry (EUROCHAMBRES) took place via video conference. The EUROCHAMBRES Presidential Council, of which the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) holds the office of Vice President, consists of Germany, Austria, France, Ireland, Spain, Sweden, Italy, Poland, Czechia and Turkey.
The Union of Chambers of Bulgaria,
Lithuania and Serbia was also invited to the Presidential Council, which
convened with the main agenda of COVID-19.
The meeting discussed the impact of the
COVID-19 process on national and European economies. In addition, views were
exchanged on the measures taken at the national level and the contribution of
chambers of commerce and industry to ongoing efforts.
It was also agreed at the meeting that EUROCHAMBRES
General Assembly on June 9th be held electronically.
