The President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, announced that Mut Olive Oil is the 37th product to receive a geographical indication registration the European Union and said, “May it be beneficial to Mersin and our country.”

In his statement on the subject, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “I congratulate Şahin Sezer, the President of Mut Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Board of Directors, the Assembly and everyone who contributed to our local values. We have a product diversity that few geographies in the world are blessed with. As TOBB and the Chamber-Exchange community, we are making great efforts for local and geographically marked products. Our work on 70 geographical indications and 3 traditional product names, which are in the process of the European Union, continues.”
