TOBB’s Digital Transformation Platform “Smart SME” was selected as Türkiye’s national champion among 39 projects in the European Commission organization. Smart SME will compete for the European grand prize in the final at the European SME Summit. TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We are preparing the Turkish business world for the digital future. This award shows that we are on the right track.”
The Smart SME Platform,
which was implemented by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of
Türkiye (TOBB) to support the digital transformation of SMEs, was selected as
Türkiye’s National Winner in the “Supporting Digital Transformation” category
within the scope of the 2025 European Enterprise Promotion Awards (EEPA)
organized by the European Commission.
For the competition,
the national coordination of which was carried out by KOSGEB, 39 different
applications were received from Türkiye in 2025.
TOBB’s Smart SME
Platform operates as a comprehensive digital transformation guide that enables
SMEs to analyze their digital needs, meet with appropriate technology suppliers
and plan their digitalization processes. The platform continues its activities
with the support of Mastercard.

Commenting on the
issue, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they want to prepare
the Turkish business world for the digital future and said: “With our Smart SME
Platform, we guide the digital transformation journey of our small and
medium-sized enterprises. We are very proud that this success in Türkiye is
echoed at the European level. As TOBB, our vision is to prepare the Turkish
business world for the digital future. This award shows that we are on the
right track. As TOBB, our goal is for the Smart SME Platform to represent
Türkiye proudly by showing success in the European final.”
The projects selected
as national champions will compete for the European grand prize at the finals
of the SME Assembly 2025 in Copenhagen on November 10-12, 2025.
The projects awarded
under EEPA are among the innovative public initiatives that support
entrepreneurship and SME policies across Europe. TOBB’s Smart SME Platform not
only contributes to Türkiye’s digital economy goals, but is also shown among
the best practices at the European level.
