Launched by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) on July 8 in order to alleviate the financing difficulties of SMEs, the Breath Credit has reached 23,515 companies and approximately 30 billion TL support has been provided to SMEs in this way.
The statement made by
TOBB on the subject is as follows: “Within the scope of the TOBB Breath Credit,
which we launched on July 8, 2025 in order to alleviate the problems of access
to finance experienced by our SMEs, we provided approximately 30 billion TL
credit to 23,515 companies in a short period of only one month, with KGF equity
guarantee and 8 bank cooperation. Thus, the application process was completed
by reaching the specified credit limit.
For the continuity of
production and trade, it is vital for our SMEs to access financing under
favorable conditions. For this reason, it is gratifying for us to see that the
demand of our business world for the Breath Credit has not gone unanswered.
We would like to thank
the Minister of Treasury and Finance, Mr. Mehmet Şimşek, and the Governor of
the Central Bank of Türkiye, Mr. Fatih Karahan, for their sensitive and
constructive approach to the implementation of this program.
Due to the high demand
for the Breath Credit, we have submitted our request to the relevant
authorities to increase the loan amount. If our request is met positively, the
additional limit will be made available to our SMEs quickly.
Our SMEs’ access to
financing at the right time and at affordable costs means more investment,
production, employment and exports, and therefore a stronger economy.”
